This is my first post on my brand spanking new blog. I am very excited!
Now that summer has come to a close and autumn is here, I feel that it is the perfect time to get on with blogging and writing and I hope that you will join me for the journey!
I am lucky to live in a place which has seasons. I absolutely loved the summer – it got really warm in London and there were plenty of opportunities to sunbathe on nearby Hampstead Heath and to eat alfresco. I went on a road trip around Ireland – something that I would highly recommend, and spent a week in beautiful Provence and Cote d’Azur in France.
September to me always feels like a fresh start though, even more so than new year in many ways. I think it is that feeling of going back to school that resides within me; when I used to write out my new schedule in my homework planner and buy a new pencil case and accessories.
Here in London the warm weather faded pretty quickly. It is still mild but noticably colder than the previous balmy weather we’ve been having and it has been raining. I have fully embraced this change of weather though by digging out my snuggly jumpers and enjoying soya lattes, hot chocolates and hearty soups.
In fact, I am so keen that I am already excited for Halloween and Christmas. I’m basically just a big kid!
